Welcome to my website's home page!  This website was created in 2000 and now, in 2005, I'm making the first major revisions.  I hope the changes will make the site easier to read and also for you to get the information that you need to order my books.
My company name is Burstone, LLC and through this company I have published three books. To Slay a Giant, "The Fight to Protect the Wolf River From the Proposed Crandon Copper Mine," was my first book and it was published in 2000.  The second book was a collection of poetry, The Hobo Poet, by my mother, Burnette Mutter.  And now in 2005, I've published my second book, Out in the Country, 33 Stories about Nature and Rural Living.
Writing and getting published has been the main objective  in the past 25 years of my life.  Living out in the country has afforded me with many adventures and experiences with nature.  I enjoy writing about things that I've seen in our woods and have experienced.  Along with the living critters that inhabit our woods, I love the woods itself . . . the trees and shrubs and the many flora and fauna that I still to this day can not identify.  But every year I learn more.  And every year I write more about what I learn.
For as long as humans have been on this earth, it's amazing that we do not know all that there is to know about nature and what makes it tick.  There is so much out there and it appears that much of it is interdependent.  Nature is somewhat like a massive assembly line in a factory.  Take one person or natural element, off of that line and the confusion and changes take place.
On September 3, 2005, George Curtis interviewed me on his UPN 32 TV program, "It's Your Environment."  We talked about my new book and some of my experiences in nature.  If you would like to see it, some libraries in the Shawano area have it in their collection. If you have trouble getting to see it, let me know, I will explain how you can get a copy of it.
If interested, you can read more about my background on, About the Author's Page.  I hope that you will support me as a writer and publisher.  From the feedback that I've received on the books that I've published, I can sincerely say, "I'm confident you will think the books are worth what you paid for them."
