Burstone, LLC
The
company name, "Burstone," was selected by John Mutter, Jr.,
when it was discovered that Bur Oak and Stone Fence had already been claimed
as company names. Thus, Burstone, LLC was selected. LLC stands
for Limited Liability Company.
Burstone's
first book was released on April 22, 2000. "To Slay a
Giant," - The Fight to Protect the Wolf River From the Proposed Crandon
Copper Mine," by John J. Mutter, Jr., is 6" X 9" and 176
pages. It's a
soft cover first edition.
The second book produced by Burstone is a
collection of 69 poems by
Burnette Mutter. Mrs. Mutter's book is entitled: "The Hobo
Poet." This
book is 6" X 9" and 96 pages. It is a paper back first
edition.
On May 18, 2005 Burstone, LLC released it's third
book, "Out in the
Country," by John J. Mutter, Jr. This is a collection of short
stories
about nature and rural living. It is 81/2 X 11 inches in size and has
96 pages. It has a four color laminated soft cover. Six
advertisers
helped pay for the printing of this book. They are: Twigs Beverage
Inc., Home Plate Café, Country Store Foods, Competitive Machining Inc.,
Riverside Auto and Pine Acre Motel. These businesses are located in
the
City of Shawano, or Waukechon Township. The advertisers are shown
below.
